VisionOnline’s co-located servers in its Tier 1 Provider facility (NY1) boasts more than 20,000 square feet of state-of-the-art technologies. It has been designed with just one goal in mind -- keeping client equipment running optimally at all times to support their business success. From a tight security protocol to an advanced power system, the NY1 facility offers the ultimate in efficiency and redundancy for co-location facilities.
The Tier 1 Provider shares the clients' concerns about the security of customer equipment and data, and employs a series of measures designed to protect all of its customers' vital assets. Physical security includes secure access and 24x7 monitoring. Proof of identity is required from visitors, and is checked against client-defined access lists. All visits are logged, and surveillance cameras capture activity within secured areas.
Customer equipment is secured within locked cabinets for added compartmentalization and security. These cabinets are accessed with an individual pin code and special proximity card. NY1 facility is also designed to protect data. Unlike other facilities, which aggregate their customers through the use of hubs, the NY1 facility hosts every client on a dedicated Ethernet segment, preventing clients from sniffing each other's traffic within the facility.

ADVANCED
POWER SUPPLY ASSURES NON-STOP OPERATION
The
NY1 facility is serviced by a
world-class power system that delivers
superior redundancy and reliability. At
its center is the Automatic Transfer
Control Logic (ATCL) system, which
constantly monitors the entire power
system and automatically draws power
from the most reliable of multiple
sources. The ATCL system ensures that
the highest quality, most reliable power
will always be delivered to client's
systems. In addition, the facility has
draw-out breakers throughout the
facility. These state-of-the art
draw-out breakers permit maintenance and
replacement of feeder breakers without
de-energizing the critical load
switchboard -- allowing maintenance
teams to perform far more proactive
scheduled maintenance without client
outages than other data centers.

Internet
Connectivity is provided by the Tier-1
network provider and has an all
fiber-optic network that spans entire
United States with direct connections to
Europe and to major Asia-Pacific
countries. The all fiber-optic Tier-1
network has 30Gbit/s (30000Mbits/s) of
capacity with over 380 peering

professional management of the network,
facilities and servers.
In addition the first phase of our
Tier-1 network provider’s network has
just been completed. This now means that
VisionOnline servers have direct

connections to major cities all
connected via a fully meshed Cisco 12000
Router based network (redundancy in HSRP
mode) from within the server facility.
