Job Description: Functional Responsibility: Recognized for understanding and communicating common best practices for the industry. Utilize a knowledge base to create conceptual business models and to point out relevant issues and considerations in selecting application software packages, such as those provided by ERP vendors. Assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its organizational components, and help to define the direction and strategy for an engagement while ensuring the organizational needs are being addressed. Examples of the functional areas would include Human Resources, Finance, Supply, Service, etc. Work with senior managers to provide industry vision and guidance with regard to their industry. Lead the determination and classification of information technology inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional area's ability to support/meet organizational goals. Support the development of functional area strategies for enhanced IT operations in a cross-functional area mode throughout the organization.
